This is an original 1874 black and white in-text wood engraving of an illustration by E.J. Capper that depicts a party of aspiring English mountaineers stopping for a water break while climbing Snowdon, (the highest mountain in Wales at 3,560 ft above sea level), during the Victorian era. Snowdon is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, Wales.
