This is an original 1939 color print ad encouraging readers to travel cross-country using Interstate Transit Lines and Union Pacific Stages. It was a good year to do so, air conditioning technology had been improving and two large fairs were going on-- San Francisco's Golden Gate International Exposition, held on Treasure Island to dedicate the city two new bridges, and the New York World's Fair, with a futuristic theme and featuring two iconic landmarks known as the Trylon and the Perisphere.
